This is the mode the camera starts up in.
So, it can also mean that you have just switched on the camera, or that charging the battery from a USB power adaptor is complete.
To start recording a Video press the POWER button briefly.
To change modes to prepare to take a Still Photograph or make an Audio Recording press the MODE button briefly to step through the different camera modes.
