A Flashing Yellow with a Steady Red or Blue means the Little Cyclops battery is charging.
Officially Red means that the camera has identified the charging source as a USB power adaptor and Blue means that the camera has identified the source as a computer USB port - the camera can sometimes get this wrong.
When charging completes the Yellow light should stop flashing. For me, this generally means that the Yellow light goes out, but the official instructions indicate that the Yellow light turns Steady.
If you are connected to a USB power adaptor you can press the camera buttons as normal and change modes and take photographs or record video or audio - if you do this you will find that the Yellow light goes out and you can no longer tell if the battery is charging or not.
To avoid crashing the camera you should use your normal computer method of safely removing a USB device. Otherwise after charging the battery from a computer USB port you are likely to need to RESET the camera by holding in the POWER button and the FRONT button together.
